During the meeting, our delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Radoslaw Miskiewicz of Luma Holding Ltd, presented the development of LuNa Smelter, our investment in Rwanda’s mining and mineral-processing sector. The discussion covered responsible sourcing and traceability, sustainability standards, and the role of Rwandan tin in building secure and transparent international supply chains.

An important part of the discussion concerned the existing supply of responsibly produced and traceable Rwandan tin to the U.S. market and the potential to further develop this cooperation. We also highlighted the strong sustainability credentials of the raw materials processed by LuNa Smelter, including a CO₂ footprint among the lowest in the industry.

We appreciated the constructive exchange with Emily White, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, and Gai A. Nyok, Economic & Commercial Attaché, together with representatives of the LuNa Smelter team: Maryia Vazmitsel, Ngaboyisonga Serge and Konrad Niewiadomski.

For us, international dialogue and cooperation are important elements in developing responsible investments and strengthening resilient critical mineral supply chains. We look forward to continuing this engagement and exploring further opportunities for cooperation between Rwanda and the United States.
