On 26th April, a moving remembrance of the 30th anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi was held at the Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw

The ceremony was attended by members of the Rwandan community in Poland, as well as Polish government dignitaries and investors engaged with Rwanda.

At the ceremony, the Ambassador of Rwanda to Poland, Prof. Shyaka Anastase, emphasised the importance of international cooperation in prosecuting the perpetrators of this terrible genocide.

Among the participants was Aleksandra Cholewa, a representative of Luma Holding, demonstrating the involvement of Polish business in building international dialogue and supporting historical memory.

The meeting was also an opportunity to remind attendees of the ongoing work for peace, security, and unity in Rwanda, which is currently reflected in the country’s dynamic development.

Our memory and reflection on the past lead us to a better future.

Education and Innovation – visitors in Re Alloys

Education and Innovation – visitors in Re Alloys

Earlier this week our company, Re Alloys, hosted 4 groups of first-graders of the Warsaw Liceum Artes Liberales high school. It was already their second visit at Re Alloys.

Once again, the smelting processes and unique industrial scenery made a huge impression on the guests from the capital city This time, the students were accompanied by one of the school principals, Jarek Szulski.

The school’s motto is The school is everywhere. Everything is a lesson. It may not have been a coincidence they returned to Re Alloys – a plant producing ferrosilicon, as their philosophy is based on “Protein and Silicon” – combination of conscious social relationships coupled with simultaneous use of new technologies for educational purposes. In other words, technology helps them free up space to accomplish various tasks, including building peer relationships.

At Re Alloys, we believe that innovation and education go hand in hand and they create a bright future for our communities. Company is delighted to be part of this journey and prove that ferrosilicon has more in common with building tomorrow than it may appear.

Students at Saga Poland

Students at Saga Poland

The tour was organised within the Foundry course hours and its main aim was to present what the pressure casting process is like, both in cold and hot chambers. Those processes are standard fare for Saga ’s workers, but for the students of 3rd semester – it is an interesting novelty.

Young people could hear about the industrial reality and get familiar with Saga’s business activity. They could also observe impressive processes: machining on CNCs, surface treatment, and cataphoretic painting. The cherry on the cake was the possibility to watch closely how the castings quality control equipment, such as coordinate-measuring machine or industrial X-ray, work.

We believe the visit at Saga Poland was an inspiration for the students and introduction to their future careers at the foundry industry. We are glad we can actively support the education system in forging skills needed at the labour market!
