Rwanda on Poland’s business map

Rwanda on Poland’s business map

On 26 February in Łódź, we took part in the RE_ENTER Rwanda event organised by the Łódź Special Economic Zone.

Thank you for the invitation and the opportunity to share our experience.

During the meeting, we were represented by Anna Kazibudzka – Member of the Management Board of Luna Smelter Ltd and CFO of the African Companies Segment (Luma Holding Group). We presented our practical insights from building and developing operations in Rwanda. In recent years, this market has become one of the most promising investment destinations in Africa.

We see that success is determined not only by data and analysis, but also by courage and a willingness to step beyond established patterns. Stability, dynamic growth and a business-friendly environment create real opportunities for Polish entrepreneurs. As Luma Holding Group, we have been successfully expanding our operations in this region and are keen to share our experience with companies considering international expansion.

We also emphasise the role of institutions supporting the internationalisation of Polish companies, such as Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Regional Development Agencies – including the Łódź Regional Development Agency – and the Łódź Special Economic Zone. Their involvement genuinely reduces entry barriers and increases investment security.

We would like to thank all participants for the inspiring discussions and exchange of experience. We believe that Rwanda will increasingly feature in the development strategies of Polish companies in a very tangible, investment-focused dimension.

Strengthening Polish–Rwandan Cooperation

Strengthening Polish–Rwandan Cooperation

Luma Holding proudly highlights the growing partnership between Poland and Rwanda in the mining and metals sector.

Today, we had the honour of welcoming the Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs of Poland, Mr Michał Gramatyka, to LuNa Smelter, together with H.E. Grzegorz Morawski, Ambassador of Poland to Rwanda.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to present LuNa Smelter as a strong example of successful Polish–Rwandan cooperation and to discuss our progress in implementing advanced blockchain solutions across the AGLR region. These initiatives play a key role in strengthening transparency and accountability within the mining and metals value chain.

As Luma Holding, we are proud to contribute to building a more transparent, innovative, and sustainable sector — together with our partners in Rwanda.

Re Alloys takes another step towards green energy

The project is the result of close collaboration between the teams at Re Alloys, Luma Holding,  and ERGY. Special thanks go to Michał Lewczuk, Ashu Jha, Piotr Sosnowski, Monika Sawarska, and Katarzyna Piwowarczyk-Ściebura for their professionalism, commitment, and determination that made this initiative possible.

Why is a virtual Power Purchase Agreement (vPPA) such an important step?
It is a modern financial solution that:

    • supports the development of renewable energy sources regardless of their location,
    • stabilises energy prices in the long term,
    • enables effective implementation of sustainability goals.

At Re Alloys and across the Luma Holding Group, we believe that the energy transition is not a temporary trend but a responsibility towards future generations. That is why we continue to invest in projects and partnerships that contribute to building a modern, sustainable energy market based on clean sources.

Through the coordinated efforts of the Luma Holding Group, Re Alloys – the largest ferroalloy producer in the European Union – continues to strengthen its market position and contributes to the growth of industry in Poland and across Europe.

We would like to thank Bank Ochrony Środowiska for their trust and support in the further development of our Group.
